Burnside Primary School

John Flowers (Flat & Industrial Roofing) Ltd was appointed to refurbish the roofscape at Burnside Primary School, delivering a comprehensive 1,800m² upgrade as part of a major improvement scheme. Working in collaboration with key stakeholders, the project involves the complete removal of the existing roof covering and the expert installation of Alumasc’s Euroroof Built-up Felt Roofing (BUFR) system.

Designed to meet the long-term needs of an active educational environment, the scheme includes the integration of new rooflights and PV rails to support future solar energy installation—adding both functionality and sustainability to the building.

The BUFR system was selected for its proven performance in durability, weather resistance, and insulation enhancement, ensuring the school benefits from a watertight, energy-efficient roofing solution. Throughout the project, our team has worked with precision and care to minimise disruption to school operations while adhering to strict health and safety standards.

This ongoing project highlights John Flowers Ltd’s ability to manage complex, large-scale roofing refurbishments with confidence and clarity. Our detailed approach and technical expertise ensure that every element—from stripping to final installation—is executed to the highest industry standards.

We take pride in delivering robust, future-proof roofing systems for public sector infrastructure. Burnside Primary School is a clear example of our continued commitment to quality, reliability, and innovative roofing solutions in the education sector.
